Doug Smith

Our VIKING SPOTLIGHT for February 2016 is NHS Alum Doug Smith ’74.  Doug is the youngest of four athletic brothers who attended NHS from 1967 to 1974.  (His oldest brother Bruce Smith taught and coached at NHS).  Carl Douglas Smith (born November 25, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.) is a former professional American football player who played the positions of center and offensive guard for the Los Angeles Rams from the 1978 season through the 1991 season. Smith attended Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio, and graduated from Northland High School in Columbus on June 9, 1974.
