Spotlight Questions of Robert “Bob” Hendrix

1. Who was your favorite teacher, class, friend and hang out?

– Teacher: Mr. Gosnell

– My favorite class History

– Friends – Kathi Carifa Rader, Pamela Loudon Metheney, Mike Marter, Jeff Houck, Phil Hopper,

Mark Betts, Stan Dixon, Becky Sams, Denice Williams, Rick Viola, Barb Keenan Shepard, Chuck

Yoho.

– Hangouts – Big Bear where I worked and Devonshire Pool

2. Tell about your most memorable moment at Northland High School.

It was the first day of Northland High School, Mr. Davis entered our home room to welcome us to

Northland and because I came from a Catholic School I was trained to stand up whenever an

adult entered the classroom. When I stood up, I was the only one, and everyone in the class

laughed. The embarrassing part was when Mr. Davis spent 20 minutes yelling at the class for

laughing because he said I had manners because I came from a Catholic school and the rest of the

class did not have any. I have been in therapy ever since!

3. What was your family expectation of you?

To go to Notre Dame, I disappointed them by going to Ohio State. Go Bucks!

4. How did your Northland experience help in your life/job? By going to two different high schools I

had the advantage of learning two different education systems which has helped me in my law

practice to see both sides of every story.

5. As an attorney, what do you like about your job and what advice can you tell anyone interested in

the legal field?

I really like helping people with setting up their estate plan and then upon their passing to see

their plans come to fruition. It is always stressful when I lose a client because this is someone’s

loved one, spouse, father and maybe grandfather or grandmother, but I take satisfaction in

knowing that their wishes will be carried out when they are no longer with us to make sure they

do. I also take satisfaction when they say to me that the process was easier than they thought it

would be and that they can sleep better at night knowing their spouse, children and maybe

grandchildren will be taken care of upon their passing.
