1. Who was your favorite teacher, class, friend and hang out?
– Teacher – Dr. Al Simpson
– My favorite class – History
– Friends -I’m happy to say that I had and still have a lot of friends from many different classes
   from Northland. I’m sorry that I can’t list everyone. So, I’m going with my best friend Lora
    Montgomery and the Class Of 1990.
– Hangouts – Northland Mall, The Continent, Land and Sea, Donatos, etc.

2. Tell about your most memorable moment at Northland High School.
     Being a member of the wrestling team. I just loved the sport.

3. What was your family expectation of you?
     To graduate.

4. How did your Northland experience help in your life/career?
     It provided me with great examples to follow. Namely Dr. Al Simpson and Mr. David Wolf. Both
     of which are combat veterans of Vietnam.

5. As we commemorate D-Day this month, tell us about your military background?
     I started my military career with the 10th Mountain Division as an Infantryman. My first combat
     tour was Somalia 92-93. After I got off of active duty I was recruited into The Ohio Army National
     Guard. Where I got two more combat tours: Iraq 06-07 and Iraq 09-10.

6. What do you cherish most about your service?
     There are so many things that I loved about serving. I got to follow in the footsteps of my heroes
     and teachers and I got to serve my country. I gained a lot of brothers and sisters.

7. Are there any memorable moments you would like to share with us?
     I have so many good and bad memories of my service that its hard to pick just one. But I would
     have to say that my proudest moment was being promoted by the Army Chief of Staff General
     Gordon R. Sullivan in Somalia in 1993.
